Patriots Pen Essay

            Aurtors Note: My story is about how I'm proud of my country and the reasons why i am.

              

Dark hazy smoke filled the air of the big offices. The sounds of screaming could be heard two miles away. Business men and women scurried franticly around trying to find a way out of the burning building. Out of the cloudy sky came another plane that hit the building with high speeds. That’s when the tower tumbled down to the pavement of New York. When it reached the ground a huge cloud of smoke shot up to the sky and voyaged through the streets. There are many heroic tales about people in 9/11 that were very brave and that makes me and many other Americans proud of our country. This tragedy brought out many heroic citizens, but the celebrations, adapting to the culture and usage of energy are other ways that I’m proud of America.    

            4^th of July is celebrated by nearly every American. When we celebrate 4^th of July many people buy fireworks, firecrackers, and bottle rockets. We rejoice 4^th of July because the natives wanted freedom from England so they made the Declaration of Independence which gave them freedom. The United States remembers the fallen men and women that fought for our country. If a sport or special event occurs on Memorial Day when they play the nation anthem, after they take a moment of silence.   

            America uses a ton of power but we have found many ways to conserve that energy. We use a wind turbine to collect the wind and use it for energy. Several car companies are manufacturing more efficient electric cars to prevent cars that need gas to travel the United States polluting the air. Americans have made a way to reduce, reuse, and recycle. This system helps use a lot less resources like trees and aluminum.

            The weather in America ranges from freezing to burning. In some states like Florida, California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada all are usually warmer states. Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, and Ohio are usually the colder states. America is  know as the melting pot of the world because when immigrants move to our country they can feel welcomed because the United States of America is the only state that is made up of so many other cultures.

            Today a lot of Americans are proud of the culture, new efficient ways of saving energy, and celebrating traditions. I’m looking forward to the future and what other ways I’ll be proud.

Power Balance Bands

   Authors Note: I chose to write about Balance bands because I think all athletes should wear them.

Power balance bands are one of the best inventions of the 21^st century. Balance bands help give athletes balance, strength, and power. All athletes should wear balance bands to help their game and stay in shape.The balance band is water proof so after your long day of working out it will not affect your balance band or your performance. I use balance bands when I play and it improves my game a lot.

When athletes practice they should still wear these so that they practice good and then their couch will see they are practicing good and will play them more. When you wear the band you practice well and they say “you practice how you play”. When you are working out with weights or running laps you wear the band and when you lift you get strength to lift more. If a athlete runs wear the band and you have balance when you run and get more laps in and a faster time.

When I wear the balance band and go to practice and practice great my couch always says how balanced and strong I am. The band is also stylish so if you don’t even play many sports you still look cool and stylish. The companies that power balance bracelets have made almost every color and even some basketball, football, and baseball teams. You can get the bands usually at a price around 10 to 15 bucks but if you go on EBay or Amazon you can get them for 3, 4, or 5 bucks so you can get them for actually really cheap. I have got all of my bands off of E Bay because I find them for like $3.

A lot of professional athletes use the balance bands when they practice and play games. It improves their performance in the game to help their team win. I love the balance band because it is so stylish and cool. I have a red one that has the Chicago Bulls on it and I have a black one that is a Miami Heat one but those are the ones I mostly wear the other ones I have are blue, green, and a light blue. In the 21^st century one of the number one inventions is the power balance band
